I see you searching for home while it’s in you.

As long as the sun has been setting to the West, I have been searching for home. As little as I speak the language, I can't help but find comfort in a land where everyone looks like me. Alhamdullilah.

Our homes become a home away from home. Temporary even in its permanence.

Seeking comfort in the smell of uunsi and qaraami music playing softly as you cook your morning shax, staring out the window at the concrete jungle you somehow found your way to.

to the women who escaped from their homes
to find new ones.
to the women who could not make a home of their new one
and yet became home to their new ones.

She exists neither here nor there. And yet, she exists in both.
