I& #39;m not feeling this new wave of K-pop where groups are trying to prove that they& #39;re "above" the concept of K-pop. No one wants to watch these confusing, pseudointellectual MVs. If you& #39;re not going to fall the 2nd generation route of MVs with an actual story/plot, just have FUN.
It& #39;s awesome to have music videos with a storyline. From the likes of 2NE1 discussing domestic violence in & #39;Go Away& #39; to T-ara& #39;s 15 min & #39;Cry Cry& #39; MV, those were so intriguing. But, these new, other-worldly videos that are meant to analyze society yet make no sense are annoying.
These companies gotta invest more in hiring better choreographers, vocal coaches, & innovative producers. The MV doesn& #39;t even matter that much as long as the song hits & the artists can sing AND dance. Look at Growl by EXO. That song is TIMELESS despite what the MVs look like.
Anyways chile... I write a lot about pop culture, politics, and entertainment. Check out my most recent article about how Korean entertainment companies can improve & innovate their marketing methods to help their artists to reach more GLOBAL audiences: https://twitter.com/QUEENTlWA/status/1244680063972499458?s=19">https://twitter.com/QUEENTlWA...

These">https://twitter.com/QUEENTlWA... tweets really had a lot of you guys feeling hot & bothered. Despite the fact that I didn& #39;t mention any groups, many of you took it as a personal attack because you live vicariously through the success of your faves. It& #39;s sad and obsessive. Be well.
