Want to see more people of color on the news as health experts? Here's how. A primer.

1. Visible social media posts often lead to journalist inquiries. So for the same info, take a moment to tweet from diverse sources. https://twitter.com/RealCedricDark/status/1247613329700511745
2. In order to do (1), you need to be following folks. The people @RealCedricDark just tagged are a good start. Then follow who they follow. I'll add @RJWarrior @mclemoremr @DraCoquiMD @NickVasquezMD @AdairaLandryMD @LashNolen @KellyMotadelMD
3. People highlighted in articles also get media attention. If you're on the writing end, look at your sources and see who is represented.

4. Likewise, if you are writing stuff and need a co-author, consider who you are writing with.
5. If you are on air, you are interacting with producers. Producers are ALWAYS looking for people. Slip them a few names. There's plenty of oxygen to be a good ally. There always is.
6. Viewership drives return guests. Support the HECK out of the few non-white medical folks up there, watch their stuff, share their links & videos. Studios may feel (subconsciously or not) that diversifying the pool is a risky move. Let's make it definitively the right move.
