. @FIFAcom has provided new guidance and recommendations to Member Associations on a range of issues to help mitigate the disruption caused by #coronavirus.

Short thread on the key takeaways below 👇

1) It is likely that leagues will be completed after the original end date of the season (30 June). This will impact player contracts & loan agreements which are due to expire on 30 June, and transfer agreements due to commence on 1 July.
FIFA recommend:

➡️Contracts due to expire on 30 June be extended until the new end date of the season

➡️Agreements due to start on 1 July be delayed until the new start date of next season

➡️Priority be given to current clubs to complete their season with their original squad
2) The #COVID-19 outbreak will likely lead to situations where agreements can't be performed as the parties originally anticipated.

By way of an example, #players and #coaches are currently unable to work, and #clubs are unable to provide work.
FIFA recommend:

➡️Clubs and employees (players & coaches) be strongly encouraged to work together to find appropriate collective agreements on a club or league basis

➡️Such collective agreements should address issues such as salary deferrals
3) Under @FIFAcom regulations, member associations (such as the @FootballAssoc and the @ScottishFA) can only change the dates of their transfer windows in "exceptional circumstances".
FIFA recommend:

➡️all requests to extend, amend or postpone transfer registration periods be approved (provided their duration complies with the maximum 16-week limit)

➡️ Member Associations will be permitted to amend season dates by notifying @FIFAcom
