I myself am not impacted directly by #newstartfurlough, as I work on the front line. My job will always be there and that’s a blessing in these times I suppose. My fiancée is however impacted - without wage and ineligible for financial support on offer by way of UC.
Demoralised by the fact her previous employer has refused her request for help. 3 times. So my point is this - the #newstartfurlough has made enough noise over the last week or so to attract media attention and various letters from MP’s across the country.
It’s now at the stage where you - @RishiSunak - can no longer claim to be unaware of the issue. So decide what side you sit on. Are you busy working on a resolution ? Or are you neglecting the thousands who evidently need help ?
Your silence would indicate it’s the latter. And in that event I would suggest you’re not fit to discharge your duty. Clock is ticking on this one. People can’t wait and neither can their bills. Make a move.
Answer people one way or another. Your inaction is unacceptable #newstartersfurlough
And finally, seeing as I have no loyalty to you - I don’t mind naming @LCP_Group as the employer who refused to help a former employee in their time of need. Enjoy the publicity chaps. You most certainly deserve it 😉
