All those turning 18 including those seeking international protection where placements are ending will be supported to remind until the 30th of June!

> If a foster carer agrees to continue to provide a placement for the young adult, the fostering allowance will be administered to the carer, irrespective of whether or not the young adult is in education/training.

Young people engaged in Education/ Training where disruption has occurred will not be adversely affected & will be supported again at a later date.
The aftercare allowance will be extended until 30th of June to those turning 21 or 23 respectively where it was set to end.

As someone who spent 9 years in Residential Care as a child & further time in supported loggings I know at this unprecedented time it would raise my anxieties & worries. These decisions will really make a positive difference at this time,
& are in the very best interests of young people. @tusla & @BernardGloster must be highly complimented.
Likewise, those Foster carers, social workers, social care workers & aftercare workers who are very much the unsung heroes.
