I have watched diabetics die from lack of insulin. People I knew, not just strangers. I have lost dignity because I could not afford to keep myself alive.
I have cried myself to sleep because I did not qualify for help from @LillyPad and I could not afford my insulin. /1

I have gone without food so that I needed less insulin. I have exercised to the point of injuring myself to get blood sugars down because I didn& #39;t have enough insulin.
I have given my address to a stranger because she was willing to send me insulin to help keep me alive. /2

I absolutely am happy and appreciative that @LillyPad has made the decision to temporarily lower copay costs.

I also understand that this pandemic put them in a tough situation. Not defending them, they made their bed they can sleep in it however, they really are damned if they do and damned if they don& #39;t.
Don& #39;t help us? "MURDERERS!"
Help us? "Why didn& #39;t you do this long ago?"

Which says more about them then it does about us.
My hope is that now we will have more people standing up for #Insulin4all when this is over. That the country will see the shape it is actually in and grow a pair and stand up to them. /5

Now more than ever we need to push for lowering the list price!
They can still live in their million-dollar homes and offer affordable insulin.
This pandemic should be teaching human decency and compassion.
