There’s been a lot of sympathetic “put yourself inside Trump’s shoes” posts going around. Let’s forget the racism, transphobia and homophobia for a second. Here’s why I am not sympathetic to him: (thread)
1. He was warned about this months in advance and ignored the signs. He was given a literal playbook but ignored it and fired the response team as well.
2. He FAILED to act on time. Shutting down air travel to China doesn’t count. Domestically, he did nothing until it was too late. His response: it’s a dem hoax! It will go away, like a miracle! *golfed*
3. He has failed, no, Refused to distribute the national stockpile of PPE and ventilators- ESPECIALLY to states that have Governors who have dared to criticize him in the past. He is approaching it as a competitive opportunity.
4. He is purposely outbidding states in bids for said supplies, hoarding them for himself.
5. He has financial interest in a malaria drug that has not been approved by the FDA for treatment against Covid-19. He continues even to this day to push for people to use that drug, side effects be damned.
6. He is ignoring the advice of doctors and scientists and is spreading misinformation. Even if they are right in front of them. His trusted “experts”? Mike Pence (more on him later 
) and Jared Kushner.

7. He is using the virus in an excuse to engage in voter suppression tactics. He is also using it to spread racism and xenophobia so he can deflect blame from himself (Chinese Virus, etc)
8. He has ordered third party medical supply companies to cancel any orders to state governments, especially in WA and MI. Two of the hardest hit states in the country.
9. To justify his refusal to give supplies, he claims that the states don’t actually need as many as they are claiming. He further states he “knows” states had stock piled millions of PPE items and that doctors and nurses must be stealing them. That is a lie.
10. In the stimulus package, he is fighting for provisions where he can distribute the corporate money without oversight. This involves appointing no czarr in charge of distribution & removing anyone who might pose any threat of accountability. His businesses are sure to profit.
11. He has decided to shut down the obamacare enrollment access, wich will lead to countless americans being uninsured.
This man is not just the WORST president we have ever had in modern American history, he is a morally bankrupt profiteering liar who thinks if 200000 people die that is a “win”.
So no, I won’t put myself inside his shoes. I don’t think I could stand to look at myself in such shame.
Trump doesn’t care about this country. He only cares about himself! And he is perfectly happy for you to die if it means he can somehow make a profit off of it and stay in power. So no, he gets no sympathy from me!
