a dark prestige thriller about lily & james etc just after they finish school, jumping into insane jobs fighting the rise of the voldemort

it is quite simply HOMELAND meets BUFFY

a dark-forces-of-the-week procedural combined with the longer arc of a mounting wizarding war

IT MUST BE MENTIONED: lily and james only lived to be TWENTY-ONE so it goes without saying that EVERYONE in this award bait thriller will be excruciatingly HOT

I want a tom holland james, a caitlin dever lily, A HUGH GRANT MIDDLE AGED GAY ASS DUMBLEDORE

I want THINKING and SCHEMING and SPELLS THAT TAKE TIME - none of this boring blasting colors at each other

Voldemort:

It's politics, it's intrigue, it's cute little magic in the family scenes, it's scary scary magic in the openings, the fights are *choreographed*, & it is NOT LIKE WESTWORLD OR GAME OF THRONES

someone evil (timothee wins a golden globe) who we come to care about is having a secret affair with a muggle & trying to keep it secret

(idk but martha plimpton fucks you UP as umbridge w a made-for-streaming british accent)

at the end of season one holy shit u guessed it lily is PREGNANT babyyy

crucial to remember this series is NOT CAMPY, it is SERIOUS & everyone is HOT
