I'm going to talk about empathy & my reactions to people On Here about their hardships, which is: "😔🌺".

It's not for everyone & I am very much okay with anyone expressing that.

For me, it means: "I hear you, I'm making space for you, I empathize"

I need to talk about why it's SO FVCKING IMPORTANT to BE with people who are, as I like to say, Going Through It.

Like I am, right now!

(Please don't feel like you *have* to respond, I'm 'okay', just very emotional right now)

So often, people's reaction to this is-
"😬😬😬 I have NO idea how to help you, bye!"

Now, if you're triggered in any degree & need space yourself because no, *really*, you can't help, I get that.

But I get so fed up being in a society that rewards "happy people", essentially.

It's ableism at its core, for sure -
I get tired of bootstraps. I get tired of "just breathe". I get tired of "do yoga"-how about you BE THERE for people?? For fvck's sake!!

Take some empathy courses! (Yes they exist, I took a few in the companies I worked for in caregiving)

Please stop isolating people because they're Going Through It. Please. Be awkward with them, don't make it about yourself.

Take your own advice & just breathe through the anxiety you're probably feeling.
