KP is an outlier on public awareness and legitimacy of the #COVID19 response. The lesson here is that they've been strategic and started early. Remember, KP began this at a disadvantage - decades of under-investment in the health sector + resistance to vaccines.

Weeks ahead of the national debate, KP worked with @undp_pk to develop a strategy. First, what @jhagra calls "the public awareness war" is designed to ensure that the people trust that the Govt is transparent, credible, and in control.

Second, @jhagra understood that any failure to communicate early, accurately, and regularly would erode the public's confidence in the Government's ability to manage the crisis.

Things are going to get worse before they get better. Still, we can see from the @GallupPak numbers is that the strategy is working: the people of KP are taking the virus more seriously and are more confident in the Govt. #PakistanFightsCorona
