With four more narratives released in the past week ( https://www.4sd.info/covid-19-narratives/) including a call for a Pandemic Emergency Coordination Council now, here are my top 6 on #COVID19
We must all act rapidly w/ resolve to enable #COVID19-ready communities to defend themselves, mitigate consequences of containment measures & put livelihoods of the poor and most disadvantaged first + protect SMEs, ensure cash for basic needs & limit discrimination & exploitation
We must protect, support and empower health workers everywhere as they are in the front line of this epic struggle
We must address shortages and their consequences; counter hoarding & market manipulation, establish needs-based production & distribution of essentials - PPE, treatment essentials, basic food, access to water, sanitation and hygiene products & more
We must work relentlessly for solidarity and unified action within communities, cities, nations and the world - this is needed immediately. The virus does not wait for us to get our act together. @UN @WHO @IMFNews @WorldBank international leadership is needed
We must find ways to work together at warp speed: working hard is not enough. Better synchronization of mindsets allow us to seize opportunities when they appear & do it better through our networks in ways that are ambitious, authoritative, audacious, authentic & accountable
We must anticipate the worst even though it is disturbing. Billions of people are struggling. Resist the temptation to blame and criticize. That time will come and we will all be accountable. Now focus on learning constantly and apply it immediately. Act without regrets.
