The argument over who the true Israelites are is vanity & only caters to pride & the desires of the flesh. But if anyone out there insists that they are of Abraham’s flesh, here is a brief reminder of why his seed was chosen along with a track record of your “righteousness”
Since the fall God intended to restore man whom he created in his image. Because Abraham was obedient, God promises that the coming messiah would coming through Abraham. That was Abraham’s blessing. Abraham will always be remembered as the man who’s son redeemed the world.
God knows how to reward people. It’s the reason why God put up with Israel’s repeated sins and rebellion. Because when God made that promise to Abraham he meant it and he wasn’t going to let unfaithful israel nullify that promise. It highlights God’s faithfulness.
The purpose of Israel’s calling was to serve as priest and a light to the world so that God’s light and salvation may reach the ends of the earth. (We won’t be able to appreciate this if we’re too busy boasting in the flesh about our supposed greatness)
Although the nation failed miserably, they ultimately succeeded through their King and representative, Jesus, God’s anointed one. Israel was raised with their king.

Now let’s look at Israel’s track record..........
Deuteronomy 9:6
“KNOW THEREFORE, that Yahweh your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness; for you are a STIFFED-NECKED PEOPLE.”

And in case they didn’t get the memo the rest of the chapter is dedicated to highlighting their persisted rebellion 👇🏾
In the Hebrew Bible it says repeatedly how Israel sinned worse than the nations that possessed the land before them which Paul probably had in mind when he wrote how the law incited people to sin due to our fallen nature. Go ahead, boast, your family history is SIN AND REBELLION.
If it wasn’t that God made his promise to Abraham to bless the world through his seed Israel would have been utterly destroyed in the same manner as Sodom and Gomorrah.
The point is that ALL OF MANKIND Israelite or gentile are sinners due to our decent from Adam and it’s in the new man Jesus that we are ALL being made new.

“Who ever is in Christ is a new creation.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
God is reconciling THE WORLD to himself (which was the bigger picture to begin with) and he’s using Abraham’s seed (Jesus) to do so AS PROMISED. He’s reversing the damage caused by Adams sin and completely restoring mankind back to perfection. Sin has been conquered.
Jesus has blazed a trail for all of us to follow that will lead us to the Father and life. The question is, are we going to follow the seed of Abraham? Or are we too busy distracting ourselves with vain fleshly things thus missing the entire point of the biblical narrative? 😕
