I think this debate is interesting as it doesn’t relate to salary. It relates to generosity and being a gentleman. Loads of guys aren’t old school anymore, especially if you’re dating your age. Also, a lot of girls simp for man so have ruined the pool for others.

Back in my mums day a man could never tell you to pay bills and half rent. It just wasn’t acceptable. But it’s become acceptable now, which is fair. I think if you want a gf or wife you need to be able to afford to take of the both of you.

If you can’t afford you and your partners expenses then you shouldn’t have a partner yet (as a man and in my opinion). If you’re just covering your bills and rent and want someone to move in with you you’re mad.
