NEWS: President Trump has upended the federal panel overseeing the $2 trillion coronavirus law -- removing the Pentagon inspector general who was supposed to oversee it and naming a new acting replacement.

The news began circulating on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning. Glenn Fine, who was acting Pentagon IG, had been named by his colleagues to oversee the coronavirus panel.

But Trump named the EPA inspector general to take Fine's position, negating Fine's appointment.
It will fall to other inspectors general, particularl DOJ watchdog Michael Horowitz, to name a new coronavirus law watchdog.

The law charges the panel of IGs Horowitz leads with picking the head of the new coronavirus panel.
