Hey @Shopify. Hi. You’ve hosted my online shop for years, and have been adequate. But today I feel nauseous shame using Shopify, since @jkenney took time out of slashing healthcare and education mid-crisis to make a little influencer ad for you.
I don’t think there’s anything you can do to fix this, @shopify. If you support @jkenney, then you are in direct conflict with what my business stands for.

The FIRST thing he did in office was roll back rights for LGBTQ youth. That’s who you want as an influencer? Disgusting.
If only @jkenney loved Alberta based tech companies as much as he loves @Shopify.

Instead he’s cutting support for our local tech sector and boosting a company based in, you guessed it, Ontario. #abpoli #ableg
Ditching @shopify isn't something I can do lightly. I have so many listings, it'd be several weeks of work (that I wouldn't get paid for) to build a website elsewhere. My annual Shopify subscription just renewed in March, so I'd be eating like $300 if I move it now.

Ugh.
Honestly all I can do in retaliation is make sure that the young artists I help and mentor don’t use Shopify. I’ve helped dozens of artists start businesses, and lots have gone with Shopify on my recommendation. That won’t happen again.
