Kids in #COVID19 #lockdown writing poems and drawing pictures to teach you about the sea - a thread.

These were all in response to a free online @encounteredu lesson - first up, this awesome collage of the Black Sea, by Amelia
Our @encounteredu lesson was all about marine bioacoustics - how and why animals in the sea use sound to help them communicate, navigate, find food, find a home and warn each other about danger. Check out these great pictures by Lilah and Walter!
Loads of different animals make noise underwater, from shrimps to clownfish to whales - just like in Oscar's picture and Rosie's poem
Reuben and Tabitha did some cool paintings of pufferfish and octopus, and Isabel wrote a great poem about "huge whales with massive tails" and "dolphins that click and turtles that kick"
Seb and Lucy wrote an ace poem reminding us all that:

"Animals of the ocean have a life you know?
They can fart, they can bubble,
They can even get in trouble!
They can squeak,
They can speak,
They are just like us, you see
Like him, like her, like you, like me!"
Last but not least, check out this super-cool video of Freya's drawing, complete with fish, dolphins, whales and even a moray eel!
