I realize that we don’t have The Avengers here to help us during the pandemic and that our medical personnel, first responders, and essential workers are the true heros, but here’s a thread of things I think The Avengers would be doing to help if they were here right now:

Iron Man: Working on the vaccine, making ventilators, inventing a new type of mask that blocks 100% of pathogens from passing through to distribute to the front lines

Captain America: Public Service announcements, secretly investigating the CDC and WHO, touching base with everyone daily

Black Widow: Infiltrating the government, kicking ass until every citizen is being taken care of physically and financially, stay at home orders are now in place nation wide.

Hulk: Somehow quarantined in Wuhan, smashing unused buildings to make room for new hospitals

Thor: Reaching out to other gods for resources, trying to stop everything on his own

Hawkeye: Staying at home because he knows he can’t aim and shoot at the virus and trusts in his friends to reach out for help if they need it, besides, he has a family to protect. He’s encouraging everyone online to stop buying guns and weapons, they won’t help us here.

Spider-Man: Swinging over NYC delivering PPE to nurses, knocking on windows at 7pm to begin the change of shift cheers. Tony told him he isn’t allowed to go into the hospitals or emergency rooms even with his modified suit.... He’s overwhelmed but trying not to show Aunt May.

Falcon and War Machine: Shutting down public gatherings at the beaches and parks by swooping through at high speeds sending people scattering.

Bucky: Finding a way to blame himself, observing with caution waiting for the best moment to intervene when Steve is about to break down.

Dr Strange: Calculating our all the ways this could end, looking for a place in the past where we could have intervened. Sound familiar?

Ant-Man: Trying to get a closer look at the microbiology of the disease and where to attack it, finding its weak point, but he doesn’t quite know what he’s looking at or how to explain it to Tony.

Black Panther: As a world leader who’s land is already equip to handle a pandemic like this, he is trying to help other world nations with disaster plans. He’s coordinating the equitable dispersal of as much PPE as Wakanda can stand, but it’s still not enough...

Shuri: Testing different treatments in the lab through simulation at 200x the speed to see how things progress. Simultaneously working on a vaccine. Crunching numbers about death and recovering tolls led her to create the “flatten the curve” movement.

Captain Marvel: Controlling air traffic and airport safety.

Scarlet Witch: Trying to do too much. Communicating with the dead to help them say goodbyes, trying to heal the sick but realizing she can’t save them all, controlling minds of people still out socializing convincing them to go home. Roaming the streets doing the best she can.

Vision: Since he can’t become sick he is going door to door taking people’s vital signs, assessing them for the sickness in seconds to decrease workload on EMS and first responders.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Someone has to be out there helping the rest of the galaxy while the others are occupied, right? Rocket Raccoon stole 4 pallets of toilet paper and snuck it on the ship while no one else was looking.
