i can& #39;t stop thinking abt how weird it was yest. to step out of the house and, once i was across town, find myself amongst all the fallen autumn leaves
like it& #39;s so easy to forget that the world keeps spinning even though we& #39;re all stuck inside! it& #39;s wild! but there were all these big piles of leaves and i DID jump in at least one
it& #39;s also still surreal to see, bc where i grew up we had largely evergreens and the area was a lot wetter; what leaves did fall were quickly sodden and deteriorating into mush under the foot
whereas here, a lot of the trees shed their leaves and it makes for an astounding autumn display and is incidentally reliably grounding to me so that& #39;s a nice bonus
i do really really love this city and i& #39;m glad to call it home despite everything
