I am a practicing specialist psychiatrist since 21 years. Married to intensive care specialist for 21 years.

So I have some idea about real life practice of medicine and medicine's deep end.
Over last few weeks of Covid19 discussions, i have restricted myself to making comments on public measures, personal protective equipment, jugaad around ventilators and mainly mental health of adults and children during lockdown.
I am amazed at people who are going on authoritatively about tests, clinical picture, clinical decision making and specific treatments.

I am totally out of my depth in these issues as they are really very specialist areas.
But watching people with no medical training whatsoever at all talking about EVERY aspect of medical decision making is a truly amazing experience.

Medical education teaches you to live within limits of training.
