So today was the due date for the Spring 2020 modified Critical Path project in my Production Planning class - this is the project normally referred to as "Rube."
Due to the current world situation we had to make a few modifications.

Normally the students are put in groups of 4 or 5 and then each group has to make a machine with 3 steps for each group member. At the end of the project all the groups machines are chained together into a single machine with something on the order of 75 steps.

This, of course, requires being in the same room which this year we aren& #39;t.
The assignment was changed such that each student had to do an individual four step machine, with their first step being a copy of the previous student& #39;s last step.

They were also allowed to expand the definition of "machine" to include other modes to facilitate individual work.
