Know what other, non-cult groups actually trying to help people did when national polls showed their ideas were still unpopular with like 70% of Americans at the time? They organized to raise awareness to change that number, and they won.
They didn't blame the press, claim the number is wrong, the press lies, or else the press brainwashes people so that they think the idea is bad when it's good. They didn't blame an imaginary cabal out to get their leader. They listened to objections, then educated the public.
You cannot "neg" people into agreeing with your political proposals. That's the opposite of how a republic with free and fair elections work. The more you neg people the less likely they are to trust you with any more power than the power to neg.
