Out in the county over the weekend, our volunteers have helped many residents including an elderly woman, who at 81 years old and living alone, was unable to leave home…

She didn’t know she needed to respond to the letter she had received from Government, and reached out to us after not having anything to eat for four days.

The Community Resilience Service quickly swung into action and arranged contact through the Red Cross who organised essential supplies, and helped to respond to the letter from Government to ensure she will receive a food box through the national service.
