The relationship of Perez Hilton and Britney Spears: a thread

During Britney’s highly publicized mental health problems in 2007 & some of 2008, Perez Hilton constantly bashed Britney with rude, sometimes misogynistic comments, and even blatant lies. These are saved images he has personally edited, which are still on his website.

He posted about a fake sex tape rumor, while still managing to throw in a “got coke?” photo, and included “That sounds like Britney, passing out during sex...” and “Silly girl, you need to remember... don’t get too drunk to fuck!”

When Britney’s 2007 single Gimme More went #1 on iTunes, Perez freaked out and called this “unacceptable”, claimed it “needed to be stopped!” and that buying her song is “feeding her addictions”. He urged readers to “boycott Britney”, and referred to this as “tough love”.

The bashing is far from over. On the set of this music video, Perez literally showed up to bash Britney, and brought insulting “gifts” to humiliate her in front of the paparazzi.

Perez even capitalized after shirts that he sold after Australian actor Heath Ledger passed away in 2008 that read “Why Couldn’t It Be Britney?”

When Britney bounced back in 2008 with her single Womanizer and the album Circus, the tables turned when she actually HIRED Perez to play the evil queen in the intro to the best selling tour of 2009, her Circus tour.

In 2014, Perez bought a ticket and a meet and greet to Britney’s Las Vegas “Piece Of Me” show. Forgivingly, Britney even brought him on stage during one of her numbers.

Years later, we see that Perez is wearing Britney Spears (unofficial) merch, and even has a painting of her in his bathroom...

Throughout the years, as Britney Spears always does her best to stay out of drama and use her platform positively, Britney has never spoke on Perez Hilton.
