Hi.

One simple question for the 'Adam was retconned' crowd : if he had indeed his characterization complety changed from what Monty envisionned for him... why it is not mentionned in Shane's Newville letter?

Shane use Jaune, Raven & the Yang and Adam fight in V3 as - (1/7)
- exemples of how CRWBY didn't follow / ignored Monty's vision... but completly ignore a major shift in Adam's character?

A character he helped bring to life when he made the Black Trailer with Monty? A trailer that was a source of joy and great pride from him? (2/7)
Isn't that a bit... odd?

Like let's take two pages to talk about how Jaune's growth as character was fucked up because he was not responsible for Pyrrha's death, how CRWBY didn't understood Raven at all & the fight scene between Yang and Adam... (3/7)
- and not talk about Adam being shoehorned into a romantic relationship with Blake?

He was 'let go' of RT in January of 2016 and made his letter in May of the same year, so a lot of time after V3 was released in full and people. (4/7)
And yet not a word about that "change" or that "retcon" when the full objective of the letter was to say that RT took away RWBY from what Monty wanted. (5/7)
So, if a retcon indeed happened... why? Did he get buyed off by the Bumbleby Mafia ™️? Did he just plain forgot a character he was there to create and bring to life?

...

Or is it that Adam was never that deep? (6/7)
As a note, this thread is not an attack on people who wished Adam was treated differently in the show, or who enjoy him.

It's just for the 'retcon' crowd.

Also, I plunged back into that letter following a talk with @MuffinManDan1, an amazing guy who deserve your love. (7/7)
