Something amazing is happening in Manchester right now:

It's being invaded by superheroes.

Yes, seriously.

And it's the most heart-warming story you'll read.

This is Jason Baird.

One day, before his morning jog, he randomly decided to wear his Spiderman costume.

As he jogged down the street, kids would look outside during the lockdown and see their Friendly Neighborhood Spidey waving as he jogged by.

It looked like this.
And guess what?

Spidey wasn't alone. Another guy named Stephen, was doing the same thing.

So now you had two #StockportSpidermen jogging around town. Nobody was paying them. They just wanted to give kids hope.

After all, superheroes never let anything bad happen, right?
As word spread, so did the kindness.

Before long, other superheroes started joining in, from Deadpool to Captain America to Wonder Woman. Even Snow White + Cinderella showed up.

All so that kids in lockdown wouldn't feel scared or alone.

By now, hundreds of kids had heard that superheroes were patrolling the town to make sure everyone was safe.

And right when they had a reason to look out their windows everyday, guess who shows up?

The Caped Crusader!

He must be the Lego version because he's hilarious.
Within just days, more superheroes joined.

It was the neighborhood's way of saying 'hey, the lockdown might suck, but let's make sure our kids don't feel afraid.'

They even started posting their jogging routes, so people knew when they'd be coming.
Along the way, the original #StockportSpidermen decided to start raising money for hospital workers.

Within days, people started giving - including ÂŁ36,000 from a single anonymous donor using the name "Peter Parker."

Bam! Whapp! Zam!

That's enough for 4,000+ N95 masks!
This weekend, there'lll be even more superheroes out in Manchester. And that's the best thing about kindness. It spreads.

At @Goodable, we love stories that make the world better.

You don't have to be a superhero yourself.

Sometimes, you can just dress like one.
