MIDLAND UNIFIED PRESS CONFERENCE: Midland Memorial has tested 500 people for #COVID19. They are waiting on 35 more tests results. 22 tests have been positive.
MMH’s chief of nursing is going over how to properly wear a mask. He says children under two should not wear masks but that the people in West Texas should if they are going out in public.
The Midland Co. Health department says they have not looked into adding more staff to help with #COVID19 tracing efforts. They do not know how many people they have reached out to who may have come in contact with a positive case. In Ector Co., they’ve reached out to over 200.
MISD says the five wifi busses are ready to head out into the community. The superintendent says that a majority of the students in need are outside city limits.
Co. judge, Terry Johnson, says we need to support small businesses. He advocates for buying local to help those businesses survive.
