Terri Walker has been selected to receive a Mark and Linee Diem Endowed Scholarship in History. This award is reserved for a history major demonstrating consistent academic excellence, particularly in upper-level history courses. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS
Rebecca Phoenix has been selected to receive a Professor Effie K. Ambler Memorial Endowed Scholarship in History. This award is reserved for a history major demonstrating consistent academic excellence, with a focus on gender or sexuality. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS

Carmela Sleva has been selected to receive a Baiardi Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship. This award is reserved for an outstanding history major with at least a 3.5 GPA who has taken at least two history classes numbered 3000 or above. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS
Aya Beydoun ( @ayaxbeydoun) has been awarded an Antoine Durocher and Elizabeth Chevalier Annual Scholarship. The award is designated for a student who has demonstrated significant volunteer service and research. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS
Rob Macaulay has been awarded a Sterne-Lion Research Scholarship for his project, "Evolution and a Lion in London: A Consideration of Harriet Martineau’s Role in Charles Darwin’s Conception of Natural Selection." #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS

Lydia Virzi has been awarded a F. Richard Place Endowed Memorial Award for 2020 for her paper, "Cultural Reflections of the Transportation Revolution in Michigan." The Place Award recognizes excellence in the capstone course. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS
David Webb has been awarded a F. Richard Place Endowed Memorial Award for 2020 for his paper, "Launching a Frontier Dockyard: Shipbuilding and the Beginnings of Industrial Detroit." The Place Award recognizes excellence in the capstone course. #wsucommunity @WayneStateCLAS
The Place Gateway Award recognizes students who have produced outstanding research papers in the Historian’s Craft course. Historian's Craft is the department's intermediate-level methods course, where students learn the work that goes into historical research. #wsucommunity
