Last week a friend asked for some #business advice on how to cope in the current crisis.

I suggested the following ideas (short thread).

Nothing particularly original - but I hope they help you.

Top tip:

►Keep #communicating with your team, your buyers and suppliers.

1/5
#Communicate more than normal (rumours spread in a news blackout).

►Talk with partners, colleagues and other #business owners - particularly in other sectors.

► Listen to and think carefully about their ideas and concerns.

2/5
►Identify common #business problems - you are more likely to solve them together.

►Focus on specific problems not general worries.

►Make employee and customer safety your priority.

►Be fair in your expectations of others and yourself.

3/5
►Use your spare time to think and plan for better days.

►Share useful #information from reliable sources.

►Don't share rumours and speculation.

►Don't fill timelines and in-boxes with negativity or trivia.

►Avoid dwelling on bad news.

4/5
►Take plenty of screen-breaks. Get outside if you can.

►Exercise when you can: stretch, breathe, relax.

►Eat well. Drink more water. Get some sleep.

►Keep looking for opportunities to help your #network.

►Be kind to yourself and charitable towards others.

5/5 <End>
