I don't say this regarding the conservative and progressive activists, but regarding those who claim some sense of objectivity on this platform — the most amazing thing about this crisis is how for so many who claim not to be partisans, even this just confirms their prior beliefs
Trump actually was right to close travel with China. Trump actually was wrong not to ramp up the supply chain in January. Trump actually was right to try to keep people from panicking. He actually was wrong in how he dismissed the virus publicly to keep people calm.
The list goes on. There's stuff he did right. There is stuff he did wrong. I don't expect the hyperpartisan on either side to acknowledge the things. But I actually have to note how disappointed I am in a lot of people who claim some level of objectivity who really are hacks.
And that's on both sides. When a global pandemic confirms in your mind all the things you previously thought were true really are true, it's you, not the other person, that's the problem.
