The 90s "sufi rock" band Junoon took much of the Indian subcontinent by storm, with its catchy numbers. A huge part of its appeal to Indians was the "sufi image", which due to mainstream moronery, has been presented as the "peaceful, heterodox" Islam (LOL at that)

The very fact that the "usual suspects" are coming out to defend the Tablighi-s, from such horrendous crimes like sexual harassment of nursing staff in Ghaziabad, to intentionally spreading #WuhanCoronaVirus by spitting, defecating and urinating, tells youj about their influence
The "editing out" of the pervasive and dominating influence of the Tablighi-s in sports, music, industry, not to mention media and social media, is the unspoken story. This is a story that would've remained buried had it not been for the #WuhanCoronaVirus
