3. The picture was published as a single-column standalone on the front page of Cork's Evening Echo (now http://www.echolive.ie @echolivecork) on April 22, 1961.
4. Within a decade, that boy with the guitar, Rory Gallagher, would be a rock'n'roll superstar.
5. The previous day, Rory was listed on p10 of The Echo among the winners of the TV Talent Contest at the Cork Ideal Homes Show.
