4 Para are tasked for this and would have trained, rehearsed, troops on stand by for such ops. Local Inf unit (8 Jat I think) may have some heli drop trained tps. But they would be spread across the bn not in one platoon ready and trained for this

In such a situation with 4 days elapsed and need to neutralise the enemy the commanders did what most would do - induct ready troops from Para SF.

Sheer Bad luck that cornice caved in and troops fell on hiding enemy. Same would have happened to Infantry troops.

Only lanyard colour of our braves would have changed. For 05 4 Para SF brothers lost, we would have lost 05 Jat brothers

So whats the bigger lesson ?

Kill the enemy in Pak itself. Once they cross over initiative is with them. We have to destroy monster in its home.

Its been crystal clear to any sane observer for years nay at 2 decades that Pak has to be destroyed using a whole of government approach - Kinetic + Non Kinetic. We cannot be fighting a battle on our soil anymore. We have to make PAK the battlefield

That is the NUB of the issue
