Watched Bobby's video about car buying. Note: if you really want to feel secure etc, yeah disregard this.
When buying a car, don't just think buying it for the sake of using it point a - point b. Try to consider taking it this way, consider it as a learning platform.
How? First, try to consider options that are out of the norm. In his video, Bobby was asked by his viewers, for a budget of 40k, should i just get a new Saga or consider something from the second hand market. He answered what's mentioned in the aforementioned note but...
...Bobby also asked to take another perspective. Instead of joining the bandwagon of buying mass market cars, why not be bold and follow your heart instead of your brain. For that price, you can easily get a used Inspira. Comparing these two, the Inspira is more spacious...
... more comfortable to drive and better engineered despite being an aging car. Why? Bcs that car has been re-engineered by Proton after getting the chassis from Mitsubishi. One can be more bold and get a used Civic or etc but that's another story, okay?
Yes, things will most likely fall apart quicker with that older used car but if you have the tolerance to slowly patch it up along the road, the car will be good as new again over time. Compromise on that for a better car with the same budget.
You can get a used Inspira for less than 30k, that means you still have lots of cash left to patch up the car if your budget is around the new Saga. He said stay away from the A*ia, yeah, me too. I'd stay away from that tin kosong too, only Grab drivers buy it 🤡
There are lots of more points to explain and summarise from the video on his channel but i really gtg. Probably continue this thread later but here's the link of the video just in case anyone is interested with his MCO discussion.
