Much b4 @ShekharGupta killed an institution called @IndianExpress - it used to be edited by Sh Arun Shourie-who on 5th Feb 1989 wrote an article titled "Hideaway Communalism" -after breaking a several decades long taboo placed om media to NOT write abt Islamic history in MSM...

From the time when Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi launched Khilafat to this date- the u written code of Indian media was to praise Islam and NOT ask any uncomfortable questions abt its history/ people/ belief and deeds....and it took just one article by Shourie to break it!
