So @DominicRaab hasn& #39;t retweeted news about his boss. Narry a "Get Well Soon" tweet neither. @michaelgove did a great job of answering questions on R4 about what Dominic is now responsible for (mainly chairing meetings according to Gove). But has anyone actually seen Dom lately?
One rather wonders why Raab was appointed to this position rather than @MichaelGove, who seems infinitely better qualified as a stand in PM. Fortunately for those who don& #39;t know who Raab is there is this great video from @mrjamesob. /2 https://twitter.com/shahmiruk/status/1247071296065875968">https://twitter.com/shahmiruk...
Speaking of Dominics, and from what we know about Raab one might easily jump to the conclusion that one Dominic might have been behind the others rise to power. Sadly I can& #39;t find a picture of the pair together except this montage from the @MailOnline. /3
The story it appeared in is strangely appropriate, Raab denying the presence of a "Kremlin Mole" in Downing St. Presumably he was told this by the other Dominic. /4 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7652865/Dominic-Raab-denies-Downing-Street-grip-Kremlin-mole-MPs-demand-report-published.html">https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...
Some 4 months after the mysterious (shelved & then hidden report into the Vote Leave campaign& #39;s - i.e. Boris & the Dominics& #39; - support from shady Brexiteer loving Russians) report was first cleared for release and then not released it remains under wraps. /4
Mid last month, as Boris was teetering on the edge of actually doing something about #Coronavirus, a limited hangout effort began (conceding that the Russians did interfere in the referendum), presumably preparing for the imminent release of the report. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2020/mar/15/uk-ministers-will-no-longer-claim-no-successful-examples-of-russian-interference">https://www.theguardian.com/technolog... /6
Shortly before this, fmr Transport Min. Chris Grayling, of "letting a ferry contract to co. with neither boats nor ferries" fame, was touted as possible chair for ISC committee which would have been responsible for releasing the report. /7 https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2020/03/why-chris-grayling-will-not-necessarily-be-charge-russian-interference-report">https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/...
Just now, as I tweet this thread the news has now broken that a) @MichaelGove has gone into isolation, presumably to isolate Downing St from competence, and b) that @BorisJohnson doesn& #39;t have pneumonia, hinting it seems that the King may soon return. /8 ... ends....
