An open letter to nervous Christians:

Some claim that COVID-19 is a bio-weapon with a patented vaccine. Some claim it’s a population control mechanism. Some say it is the result of a spy operation gone wrong. Some claim it’s an Illuminati plot for world domination.

Others say it is nanobots controlled by a 5G telecommunication system or radiation poisoning from radio waves. Some say it was released by the USA onto the Chinese to attack Europe and then the USA to give the USA a reason to go to war. In India, they are blaming it on Muslims.

In Iran, they are blaming it on Isreal. In the west, we blame it on whatever the last inflammatory YouTube video told us to blame it on. Some say it is a grand government plot to take over the lives of its citizens. I understand the thrill of a great story.

The thrill of the adrenaline rush. It feels good. The rush from our “fight or flight” instinct never ceases when you don’t know who your enemy is… the Bible has a few thousand years of wisdom to share.

The prophet Isaiah wisely said, “DON’T CALL EVERYTHING A CONSPIRACY, LIKE THEY DO, AND DON’T LIVE IN DREAD OF WHAT FRIGHTENS THEM.” <read that again more slowly this time.>

The prophet goes on to say “Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe.”

Maybe some of the things are true. Maybe it's not. I do know that it's never been so hard to know what truth is. We live in a world of propaganda and "fake news".

I might never see my family again. I might die of starvation because I can not buy or sell anything… but here is a truth I know --> He's got plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Either God has this or He doesn’t. Go on your way rejoicing. Great things are happening my friends! As fun as it is to embrace, resist chaos.
