Football managers as music artists:
A thread
Johan Cruyff - Velvet Underground; haven't been around for a long time but their influence is very abundant in the modern age
Sir Alex Ferguson - Queen; massive success but not particularly influential
Jurgen Klopp - Black Sabbath; innovators of heavy metal music/football
Arsene Wenger - Manic Street Preachers; their early work was the best and their latter work still good but mostly inconsequential
Pep Guardiola - Radiohead; highly revered though many would consider frauds much to the disgruntlement of others
Neil Warnock - The Fall; unglamorous, prolific success at a lower level
Walter Smith - Glasgow Orange Defenders Flute Band; staunch
Jock Stein - David Bowie; debatable whether complicit in the sexual exploitation of minors but their loyal fans won't hear a word of it
Roy Hodgson - AC/DC; old school but consistently successful, not for everyone, a little bit uncool
Diego Maradona - Oasis; brilliant at their best, coke, scandal
Pele (not a manager of course) - Blur; constantly debated whether they're better than Oasis (see above)
Jose Mourinho - Led Zeppelin; hugely successful but ripped off of smaller figures
Andre Villas-Boas - Greta Van Fleet; rip off of Led Zeppelin (see above)
Jose Mourinho (alternative 1) - Coldplay; started out with some integrity, huge success but progressively getting more soulless with time
Jose Mourinho (alternative 2) - Morrissey; same energy
