Joe Biden was experienced in the Senate when @BarackObama picked him. Obama didn’t take a name out of a hat. It wasn’t a raffle. Biden helped Obama get Obamacare through the Senate. Lifetime achievement. Obama knew Biden appealed where he did not, to white working class voters.

My choices were @KamalaHarris and @amyklobuchar sequentially. But no, @DavidKlion, I don’t think Biden beat either of them by cheating. I think he won because voters, especially (but definitely not only) black voters, valued his irreplaceable experience.

Donald Trump has endangered and debased America. Kilon whines in his thread about charisma. Well, Trump is charismatic. Being a showman is the one real talent @realDonaldTrump does possess. We see how valueless charisma is in office.

Therefore, the answer that @DavidKlion finds so impenetrable is really very simple. Democrats do not want to take chances. We want a trusted patriot, as @repjohnlewis says a good man, with eight years of experience running the country, ready on day one to reverse Trump’s damage.

That’s why “We Know Joe” is a brilliant slogan. @JoeBiden beat my candidates Kamala and Amy fair and square. He beat Bernie fair and square. And I can’t wait for him to become President after he beats Donald Trump, fair and square, and for him to start restoring our nation. Ends.
