There has been some misunderstanding surrounding an interview I gave to Espejo Público in which I was asked about the current situation in Spain. Below are the questions I was asked (by email) and the full video answers that I recorded. I hope this clears up any confusion.
Q: "1) You have said the measures taken by the Spanish Government have averted about 16.000 deaths: closure of schools, lockdowns, big events cancelled and many more of them … Which one do you think it has been the most decisive one?"
Q: "2) You are probably aware of the big women’s day protest that took place in Madrid on March 8th. Do you think it was a determining factor to spread the virus?"
Q: "3) When should the Government of Spain have ordered the State of Alarm?"
Q: "4) Some of the new measures are there to stop or freeze the national economy. Will they be effectives? Would you be able to give a number of lives saved from those new measures?"
Q: "5) How much time those measure should be applied for? How much time do you think we need to wait once the number of deaths and people infected go down?"
Q: "6) Do you think the measures were applied on time in the UK?"

Q: "7) To be able to overcome the crisis do all the countries affected have to get out of it? Can EU go through the crisis by itself?"
