I don't expect anyone to read this or comment. Not many people do anyway and I'm not here for likes. Honest!!!

But I have something I need to get off my chest.

Many times in here I've been accused of being a red Tory and loads of other affiliated crap.
I've tried to explain to them that they need to try and understand the world a little bit more rather than their very lovely ideals and beliefs.

You see they can't see that the average person thinks about two things first.

Before anything else people want to know that they and
Their family are safe. They want to know that they are protected have jobs, will get a good education, will be able to afford nice things.

Fundamentally human beings are pretty selfish. It's all about us first.

Now those on the left that I have encountered don't believe this.
They have these ideals and think if you don't think like them then you are a Tory. They cannot see the shades between. They refuse to believe that people are fundamentally selfish.

Let's be honest right now. How many of you have walked past that foodbank trolley with treats in
Yours and not even batted an eyelid?

How many of you bought yourself branded food but put the own brand in the foodbank trolley?

Did you even think about that £8 bottle of wine that could have bought 10 boxes of cereal for a family with nothing.

Those of you who did probably
Have some sort of experience that has made you consider it more. But I guarantee that most people haven't.

Humans are are a gang. We connect with the strongest and we prey on the weakest. It's in our nature. Thankfully most of us try hard not to do it but it is generally a
Conscious effort for most. There is a reason why the charity nights on telly play into your heart strings and make you emotional. They know that by doing that they will get more out of you. If they just asked then you wouldn't donate anywhere near as much.

So anyway, why am
I saying this. To be honest I'm not sure, but there is a large part of me that thinks that the left with these great ideas and beliefs that could be truly transformative need to understand to get that they need to change the hearts and minds of most of the population of the
Country. They need to stop attacking those that don't believe in what they are saying and show them how their ideas will benefit others.
If you constantly attack somebody for their beliefs then you will push them further and further away.

Hell I decided that I wanted to be a
Lib dem because of them and that was quite a leap from where I was politically. Thankfully I've moved back to where I feel much more comfortable.

We need to stop thinking of left and right. Of liberal, neo liberal.

The average person does not give two hoots about that.
Remember they care about themselves and their family first. So how do you get to that? Simple you frame your ideas in a way that shows that this is for the benefit of everyone. You give opportunity to people to grow their own business and make their lives lives better. But it's
Not the ideas of the left or right. It's the ideas of people that want to improve the lives of others.

That's the key, the left need to accept that business has a part to play and the right need to accept that there is a place to support those that need it most. The ironic thing
Is that most people are there in the centre ish. They know that there are benefits on both sides but they are increasingly pushed to a side that they might not agree with or be left politically homeless in the middle.

Anyway you might think I'm talking bollocks and that's fine
But at the end of the day it's my opinion and I know that of we do t do something right now then more people will suffer because of our polarised politics.
