NEW: This morning @Keir_Starmer and @AngelaRayner have held a video meeting with senior members of the UK Jewish community, including the Board of Deputies, the Jewish Leadership Council, the Community Security Trust and the Jewish Labour Movement.

Joint statement from Jewish leaders off the back of the Starmer meeting, including Board of Deputies President Marie van der Zyl: “Keir Starmer has already achieved in four days more than his predecessor did in four years in addressing anti-Semitism within the Labour Party.”

Statement from Starmer: “At today’s meeting, I committed to begin work on setting up an independent complaints process, cooperating fully with the EHRC’s inquiry and asking for a report for all outstanding issues to be on my desk at the end of the week.”
