@interaksyon Lizada should be cautioned that the DENR memo is censorship of political speech. As such it carries with it the heavy presumption of unconstitutionality. @interaksyon The DENR memo is a content-based regulation which means that the govt is trying to silence political speeches critical of the administration. More than ever, we need critical voices now to serve as check&balance against irresponsibility and abuses of emergency power
Free speech occupies a preferred right on the hierarchy of rights & stands on higher level than other liberties. It cannot be defeated by a Memo or even by this emergency power.
The Memo is Censorship of a political speech. It has no place in a democracy. Censorship to stifle dissenting voices is a tool by an authoritarian regime which is hopelessly clinging to power & desperately seeking for approval.
