— a thread of my formative books and book series
The Harry Potter Series

ofc am gonna start with my favorite!! I loved how it was so easy for me to get hooked into reading the entire series cos it was well written and adventure-packed. lessons were also great and it was hard not to get attached to the characters
A Series Of Unfortunate Events

this was actually a pretty ~dark~ series for children but still worth the read cos you’ll end up wondering how they’re gonna escape their misfortunes. I also rlly liked the characters here cos they were so smart considering that theyre just kids 😮
Junie B. Jones

this was one of the easiest reads ever cos it was short and straight to the point but still pretty enjoyable! good for kids talaga! I collected the series and I remember keeping track on what book I still didnt have so that I can find it or ask it for my bday HAHA
The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes

I think the main reason I enjoyed this series is cos a chapter usually starts with a quote and Abby Hayes’ diary entry that relates to it. This probs inspired my love for quotes HAHA bec of this, I started my diary entries with quotes too HAHAHA 🤪
Nancy Drew

such a smart series talaga!! so easy to get hooked cos of the mystery that comes in every book. I remember wanting to be like Nancy Drew cos she was so galing in solving mysteries! I always wondered how it was like to look for clues and to just put them altogether ehe
Amelia’s Notebook

this became sooo popular back in grade school HAHAHA it was fun reading this kasi parang ur legit reading a notebook. the doodles on it were nice to look at also. sobrang I had to sadya fullybooked before just to look and buy these HAHAHA
Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I wasnt as attached to this as compared to HP, but I enjoyed it just the same! I remember fangirling pa with my sister abt the series and I just loooved learning more abt the Greek mythology.
Magic Tree House Books

THIS. Each book was pretty short but wow I enjoyed every plot. I don’t rlly remember getting bored with this?? This is another adventure-packed series so it’s smth kids will enjoy talaga. I love this HAHAHA
The Winnie Years

HAHAHA this also became such a huge hit series in my batch. Amusing kasi the girl here was going through puberty stuff just like we were, so parang relate kaming lahat. Tas may first love pa siya ganon sobrang LMAO HAHAHA I love this throwback 😂
The Giver

Another one of the classics when I was younger. Sadly, I never got the chance to read the rest of the series cos they didn’t have it in the lib AND I couldn’t find it in bookstores. Until now, I actually haven’t read the rest pa ehe
Holes

This was one the required books that I truly enjoyed reading. I reread it so many times after HAHA the plot was just great and I loved how everything was tied up in the end. I actually didn’t expect it to be like that but wow this is such a great read talaga
Number The Stars

Another Lois Lowry novel. This was also required during Grade 5 ata? But I loved this. This was set during the Nazi occupation so it helped my eyes to that side of history. I reread this so many times also!!
