Hey!

So I’ve been seeing a bunch of tweets lately that generally say “Find something better to do with your time than complain and whine to people who don’t care about Thomas!!1!2!11” “Get a life!1!2!1!” and I couldn’t help but feel a little disgruntled.

Me along with many -
- others use Twitter as an escape to be passionate about something (typically primarily Thomas for most of us).

Being angry at something you hold close to your heart being slandered is VALID. This is a deeply meaningful franchise, and voicing that frustration with people -
- wanting to get media attention from the uninformed masses by trashing its reputation is completely valid as well, and in fact can be incredibly informative to those who are getting a bad image of the brand (and us!) from those videos.
Making fun or speaking negatively of those complaining or getting “triggered” is the real waste of time here. It quite literally does not matter if people are voicing frustration, it’s only doing positives for them and as far as I’ve seen in person the public’s view of the -
- fanbase.

If it doesn’t affect you negatively, then you shouldn’t be putting others down for letting their emotions out via a tweet or YouTube reply.
Bringing my point full circle, the comments about how it’s a “waste of time” or that those people should “get a life” are incredibly hypocritical.

It takes less than a minute to write a tweet. This thread has taken three minutes so far. It isn’t that hard.
It isn’t a waste of life to tweet about something you are passionate about to let out frustration or hurt feelings. It IS however a waste of time to negatively call those people out for doing something so relatively harmless.
It does not matter if it’s phrased horribly, or is immature, or is whining. As it’s been said, the people who make these videos typically will not care. But the average viewer might see this reaction and have a completely new approach. There are many ways to slice a salmon.
Now I’m not defending complaining for the sake of complaining is a different story, but that’s a side topic I don’t want to get into. Just that if people are angry and want to vent on something as simple as a tweet then power to them. Better than other alternatives.
And this doesn’t just apply to YouTube videos or articles that slander Thomas.

This applies to everything!

Wether it be voicing complaints to Mattel, a merch company, or even just complaining in general.

Endpoint: Just let people let out frustration. It’s okay.
