SoBangCha ( FireTruck ) Thread

SoBangCha is the very first pop group in the Korean music industry.

Though it was Seo Taiji & boys who the first kpop IDOLS & created kpop as we know today by adding rap and other new features, before them it was SoBangCha!

SoBangCha debuted in 1987 under Daesung Ent ( DSP Media) with the 3 original Their original name was Butterfly Sin in the Cosmos but during a show in Seoul, the nightclub owner had a difficult time pronouncing their name, so they decided to name themselves firetruck or SoBangCha.

debuting with "Please send this message to her," they quickly jumped to fame and bring a fresh new genera of music to korea. After nothing but mostly trot music, this was the first time these girls were exposed to stylish singers with intricate choreography and a pop sound!

Eventually member Sangwoon left and entered Gunwoo as the new member, they release more hits after that before disbanding in 1990 with reunions in 1994 and later in 2005 & 2012.

Though their popularity has subsided they had a huge impact to the history of pop music in Korea.

Unfortunately since they are the first boy group & back in the 80s it's hard to find details online about them
