Paddington is a great fish out of water (bear out of Darkest Peru) narrative and this scene perfectly demonstrates it

Get ready for this Shakespeare reference get called back to by Hugh Grant’s character in the sequel. Super subtle... took me forever to notice. But so great.

A lot of care went into developing the supporting cast. Paddington has a small subplot with each member of the Brown family, and each one has a lovely little arc. I especially like the Judy and the Mr. Brown ones.

True story I bought two blue duffle coats and a couple red hats so I could dress more like Paddington.
