When the gov’t started shuttering the economy it was to “Slow the Spread”. The great fear was hospitals would be overwhelmed with 10’s of 1,000’s people needing but not recv’g medical care, esp. ICU’s & ventilators. Slow the spread while ramping up supplies.

Projections used show things will get worse, but real data show the curve flattening, descending in quite a few areas. CA is offering ventilators to FEMA, if needed. Cuomo’s demand for 30k extra vent’s looks absurd now. Add’tly, people are being treated, lessening need 4 ICU beds

Hydroxychloroquine/Z-pak is being used & people who were very sick are getting better. Slowing the spread has now given time for a treatment, better than nothing, & hospitals look ready IF the numbers of sick people do show up. 140k beds now, it was 270k, bet it’s less than 100k

We’ve slowed the spread. People who get sick WILL get treated. Minimum dead was 100k, up to 220k, just last week. Now U of W projections are 50k-89k. Bet that number gets cut again & we’re north of 11k now. It’s a nasty disease, but Americans have met the challenge.

In a week there will still be hot spots; Chicago, Detroit, maybe NO, but they’ll be the outliers. CA will be at risk with the large homeless #’s in LA & SF & NY/NJ coming down from the heights they attained, but the rest of the USA will be chomping at the bit.

Time to declare victory & allow businesses, restaurants & other areas to open up. Lots of businesses have developed rules to keep their employees & customers safe. Beaches & trails off limits? People aren’t idiots (there are exceptions) All have been to stores & see how it’s done

Crack it open Mr. President, let this great American economy start up again. We NEED to see the fruits of our sacrifices & get life back to some level of normalcy. Working together we can handle this.
