Lol just came to the realization that pyramid schemes were everywhere during my childhood. I can recall my step-mom being involved in two, being tricked into hanging out with a classmate for a knife presentation, and being begged to recruit people at like the age of 15.
The first MLM/pyramid scheme I can recall my step-mom being a part of is Shaklee, which is a vitamin centered one. I vaguely recall there being some Mary Kay involved as well.
We had lots of protein powder.
We had lots of protein powder.
Another time a cute straight guy in highschool invites me to hang out. I'm excited cause I have no friends. We get there and he puts on a knife demonstration trying to sell us knives, and then a few weeks later he tries to recruit me to sell knives with him

The second MLM my step-mother gets involved is about this acai juice that was supposed to cleanse and detox the body (spoiler, it was just juice). She tried to not only sell me some, but also tried to recruit me to recruit others at the age of 15

There's no point to this thread. I'm just glad I didn't end up peddling some MLM bullshit
