I understand the dangers of a pandemic well enough to see why avoiding public places and crowds is important right now, but I don’t see how policing anyone is of any help in this type of crisis. The situation is being handled backwards. We need MEDICAL action, not policing.
And before anyone tries to say we need measures like this because people won’t listen, really do some research on the science behind this. They’re not even sure how far this thing spreads in the air, 6 feet of distance is not a suggestion based on science at all.
A lot of the facts we think we know are not really facts at all. For all we know just opening a window could expose you to the virus. That’s why I’m saying we need a better medical response. It’s very possible the virus spread prior to the news about it and this is a second wave.
Putting people on lockdown with a severely limited understanding of how this thing spreads and how it affects people is damaging us in the long run. If you think this is a logical response to all this I would ask you to consider the facts a little bit more.
Let me just finish this thread by pointing out South Korea and their response to the virus. THAT is what I mean when I say a proper medical response. The complete disregard American leaders showed in the early stages speaks clearly on why I don’t trust their current response.
